About
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Arabic linguistics, currently working on my dissertation which draws on sociolinguistics, historical linguistics, and language contact studies to reconstruct Pre-Islamic Arabic dialects (not Proto-Arabic).
My other research interests include differential case marking, language contact studies (especially between closely related varieties), media representations of language, and the choice and manipulation of linguistic register by speakers.
